This
plug is identical with the old British standard BS 546A, which has been
replaced in Great Britain by BS 1363.
In South Africa, this plug is used according to SABS 164-1980, in India according to IS 1293-1967. In addition in Nepal and other Asian countries as well as in some African countries (Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria) and in Kuwait and Qatar.
The plug has three round pins. The plug contacts have a diameter of 7 mm and the earthing pin arranged offset has a diameter of 8.6 mm and is longer.
