The
standard two-pole plug for Class II
apparatus is generally known as contour plug. This plug fits into any
power outlet provided with 4.8 mm contacts with a center-to-center
distance of 19 mm between each other and is used in all European
countries with the exception of the UK, Ireland and Switzerland. This
plug is used for Class II apparatus with 2.4 to 16 A. The plug is not
polarized.
